What's a Crown worth?
£1 = 2 Crowns

How many should I buy?
The average dish at Taste of London is 9 Crowns (£4.50). Servings are tapas-sized - enough for you to try more than a few dishes, and for chefs to show off their skills. Take a look at our suggested menus:

Something to sample
Carpaccio of line caught yellow fin tuna with fennel blossom salt crust (8 Crowns, from Mennula)
Seven hour lamb (10 Crowns, from Tom's Kitchen)
Summer sherry trifle (6 Crowns, from The Grill at The Dorchester)
Total: 24 Crowns = £12

Something more substantial
White bean soup with parsley and Hereford snails (6 Crowns, Le Gavroche)
Krupuk quail eggs with chilli and lime dipping sauce (8 Crowns, The Modern Pantry)
Spit-roast Old Spot suckling pig and black summer truffles (10 Crowns, Launceston Place)
Poached wild halibut, crushed sweet peas, broad beans and sorrel velouté (12 Crowns, Almeida)
Mango Phirni - a chilled pudding of basmati rice with mango and basil sauce and rose sago (8 Crowns, Tamarind)
Total: 44 Crowns = £22

Some signature, or 'Icon' dishes are 16 Crowns and above - these are intended to reflect a chef's most inventive cooking and finest ingredients. For example, Le Gavroche is serving Lobster cocktail with Summer truffles and tomato jelly served in an engraved Le Gavroche glass.
